Sylvia Bridal Sampler Row 6!! Almost half way there!!

I just finished row 6 today and the quilt just keeps getting better and better!! My favorite block in this row has to be the New York Beauty block (5th from left). I was a little unsure on making this block but it turned out wonderfully. If you noticed standing on the Bright Hopes block in the top row is my little Katelynn Kay. She snuck right in there.

The blocks are:

Silver and Gold
Fool's Puzzle
Bowtie
Old Maid's Puzzle
New York Beauty
Album 2
Big T
Ladies Aid Album
Blazing Star
Aunt Sukey's Choice

Here are links to the previous finished rows.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog!!

Sylvia Bridal Sampler Row 5 is done!!

I just finished row 5 this morning! I had such a hard time with the Indiana Rose Applique block. I have been chatting with my friend Shirley and we are going to work together on a small applique quilt. Something with bigger pieces. It will be fun to work on it together!

The blocks are:

Nine Patch
Corn and Beans
Chicago Pavements
Indiana Rose
Handy Andy
Jack in the Pulpit
Ribbon Star
Lincoln's Platform
Queen Charlotte's Crown
Hunter's Star

Here are links to the previous finished rows.

My favorite block in this row the Jack in the Pulpit (6th from left). I love the aqua blue fabric! So pretty!!

Thanks for reading my blog!!

Bama Bound Quilts

I just came across this blog, Bama Bound Quilts.  Michelle Kizziah of McCalla, AL has put this together to give quilts to children who are victims of the April tornadoes. With the quilt you would make a medium sized tote bag with at least one pocket and include a stuffed animal. Please get the word out to as many quilty friends! You can find all the details at the link above in the right hand column.
