My first October finish! -- Scrappy Hearts Quilt

Here is my first finish for October!

Scrappy Hearts!

These were swap blocks from a swap back in February of this year. I pieced the top together back in August I believe and just finished the binding on it this morning. I machine quilted it with variagated thread in a loopy heart pattern. I just love the backing fabric! Might have a hard time parting with this one.

September Finish # 5

This pattern is called the Yellow Brick Road. I just loved piecing this quilt together. It went together so fast and turned out wonderfully. This quilt I made for my good friend for her baby boy due to arrive the end of November or beginning or December. Again I can't take the credit for this one because my great friend Shirley did the quilting on it again and added some wonderful turtles to it. Can't wait to send this to my friend.

September Finish #4

This quilt was a challenge in an online quilting group using at least 4 different fabrics from your stash and using the Alabama block. I can not take the credit for the quilting on this one, it was done by my great friend Shirley and she did a wonderful job. This quilt I am keeping or my baby girl due to arrive the end of this year. Just need to make some matching crib bumpers now.

These were Patriotic MAchine Embroidery blocks. This one I machine quilted using white thread in a loopy star pattern. This one is my favorite out of my September finishes

September Finish #1

I have been busy working on finishing UFO's and using up all, well not all, but most of my swap blocks. I have way too many. I am hoping to finish enough quilts to be able to give them away as Christmas gifts to my family this year.
